The Austrian Orders Research Society (Österreichische Gesellschaft für Ordenskunde, ÖGO) was found in 1990. This association includes collectors as well as researchers who carry out scientific work in the field of phaleristics.

Our activities include the organization of international congresses, the edition of a journal and a number of publications. Additionally, special exhibitions are organized in periodically intervalls.

Members of the Austrian Orders Research Society are - among others - collectors all over the world as well as e.g. the Austrian Presidential Office, Austrian and international museums, Universities and several orders research societies.

Quarterly a journal, which is available for members free of charge is edited. Additionally, the ÖGO supports the edition of scientific publications.

Within the ÖGO, scientific research mainly focusses on Austrian orders and awards, but nevertheless also international awards are objects of interest.
